Library in the Landscape

Does it feel different if you read a book outside?

The Library in the Landscape is a community library at Tegg’s Nose Country Park, Macclesfield, which opened on 16 March 2013 following a successful crowdfunding appeal.

Visitors may read a book on the bench next to the library and enjoy the magnificent view, or alternatively they can borrow a book and return it on a future visit to Tegg’s Nose (or bring another lovely book in its place).

The Library attracted a lot of media interest, and was featured in the Macclesfield Express, on BBC Radio Manchester and even on North West Tonight.

There is a map of the location of the Library in Tegg’s Nose Visitor Centre.
